The Rocus Dance Band is a 20 piece big band with vocalist performing a wide repertoire of songs from Glenn Miller to Michael Buble. We perform 2-3 times a month entertaining retirees and raising money for charities. Although not professional, we enjoy the talents of a first rate musical director and have musicians with a lifetime of experience. We are seeking new members to add to our trumpet, trombone, violin and rhythm sections. As rehearsals a number of performances are held on weekdays, it would ideally suit someone who is retired themselves or a musician who would like to give a little back to the community by way of their talent. If you would like to join our friendly and welcoming band, then call or email me, the Musical Director, Ron Edwards.

Hey, i'm Emily and i'm moving to Brisbane within the next few weeks. I'm a singer/songwriter and i play piano, guitar, flute and bari sax. i have been living on the sunshine coast and have been the lead singer of a jazz band, have done gigs with a guitarist and some solo gigs backing myself up on piano and guitar, but am extrememly keen to hook up with a band and concentrate on my singing by doing lead vocals. i'm very diverse and love all types of music. i have done singing exams, can sight read, know millions of jazz standards and heaps of covers as well as my own original stuff that i can bring to the group. if you're interested please contact me on 0423766104. thanks guys

The "Ozbornz" perform OZ rock material only. The band recently folded. But due to the interest in the concept I have decided to start the band from scratch. I am seeking a male vocalist who can cover OZ rock, which includes ACDC and Cold chisel (Tuff job). A bassist who can pump it out or sit in a groove, A super versatile drummer (No hard hitters, would love to hear quality not volume) A keyboard player (Rare as rockin horse shit). All styles from the 60's to current. I can provide past demos of the band, and typical set lists. I have a practice room, so gear can be left set up makes it easy for practice. I am seeking people in for the long haul and fun, but also understand band business Requirements. And of course, a love for Classic OZ rock Practice Redland Bay Contact Brendan 0438788346

I'm putting my name out here as a jazz piano player in Brisbane with itchy fingers and a desire to get out and play. I am keen to hear from anyone who may need a pianist for their projects, mostly live work is my interest, but all music is good music, so drop me an email.

Aussie Rockers 1989 have quickly made a name for themselves on the music scene and their fan base is growing day by day. In just one year they have recorded a 6 track demo, supported The Screaming Jets and international UK rockers Budgie, and are looking forward to their debut single, album and film clip releases in the coming months. After recently finishing the tracking of their debut album “The Right Life”, 1989 are currently mixing and mastering the album which contains the soon to be released debut single “Don’t Care”. The making of their first film clip is also underway and even though there is quite a lot of work still to be done, they are hoping to have the album and single out by late June. Once they are released, their current self titled demo will be discontinued, so be sure to pick one up before this happens. At just $5, small change never got anyone something this good. For up to date information on everything 1989 related, including gig guides, online shop and of course demo tracks, be sure to check out their website, www.1989.com.au . If you get a chance to see these guys live or on the net, you’ll find out why the name 1989 is becoming more than just numbers.

I'm 22, I live on the Gold Coast, and i've been singing since I knew I had a voice. Since graduation in 03 i've been keeping my voice warm at local karaoke bars until something big came along. I've been going to semi-regular auditions for bands but nothing has really appealed to me. I can sing just about anything you put in front of me. Jazz, Rock, Classical, Funk, Metal, R&B etc. (Missy Higgins, Maroon 5, Charlotte Church, Linda Eder, Bette Midler, Evanescence etc). Ideally I would love to be a professional performer. Perform at functions, regular gigs. I'd also love to own my own music store. Right now though, I'm looking for a band. Jazz, rock, even a simple accoustic duet. Gotta start somewhere. :) I am very eager to start jamming and gigging asap. PLEASE do not hesitate to contact me, and we'll get started!

Believing God to pull a team together of musicians and singers who can form a band to work on covers/originals/worship. Located in Toowoomba, I am a lead vocal, 34 years of age and I have put this off for way too long. would love to hear from other muso's feeling the call of God who want to travel and minister as a group. My vocals are a mix of Tina Arena/Whitney Houston sounds but most importantly I am passionate about Worship and passionate about ministering through music.

Brandi and the Badcats and The Wild One Suzi Quatro Tribute Show require a drummer urgently to fill both roles. Brandi and the Badcats is an original rock/ pop/ rockabilly band with female lead singer double bass player and male singer guitarist. And The Wild One is a two hour Suzi Quatro Tribute show with all the bells and whistles. The Badcats does a 30 minute support with the Wild One Show, as well as being an entity on it's own. Both shows are energetic. we have heaps of work... My Spaces are: www.myspace.com/brandiandthebadcats www.myspace.com/wildonetributetosuzi This position is urgent and incredably lucrative. We need a devoted band member who can travel if need be. He needs to LOVE Suzi Quatro material and he also needs to be versatile as the Badcats plays a wide variety of styles from the fifties through to now, and includes covers from The Stray Cats/ Living End/ Dyvinals/Blondie/ as well as classic rockabilly from people such as Gene Vincent etc etc to Ruth Brown etc...the list goes on. He also needs to be able to sing some songs in The Badcats and do harmonies in The Wild One. Also needs to be creative as we write a lot of our own material for The Badcats, and require the drummer to be involved in the writing process. Both bands are energetic and professional. This is not a hobby band. We are recording our next C.D. soon and intend to take these shows as far as they will go. These bands are also HEAPS of fun. The Wild One plays to packed rooms in all the bigger clubs. Both bands have an established reputation to live up to. Interested persons please send bio to Reno at reno@brandiandthebadcats.com.au

Versatile piano/keyboard player and/or lead/rhythm guitarist with the capability or willingness to sing backing vocals too.
